Good evening!
Listen, you NEED to vote for American Independence, and I'll tell you why right now if you stop calling me a pineapple.
Reason 1: Taxes! The British keep giving us these ridiculous taxes, almost as if they just want to prove that they can do whatever they want with us. What ridiculous taxes you say? Well, step into my lawyer's corner and I'll show you. The Stamp Act was one we couldn't stand, because it made us pay for ALL printed items! Unfair! And the Tea Act. Paying a tax for tea? I don't think so! Then, when they get mad at us for the Boston Tea Party, the British give us the Intolerable Acts.
Reason 2: We are fighting with them. The more battles we fight with the British, the more colonists will die in the attempt. Even if we win, we will suffer casualties. Look at the losses we've suffered already: 5 innocent in the Boston Massacre, 8 in Lexington plus more in Concord, and 400 in the Battle of Bunker Hill. We have to stop this, and the only way is to get away from them once and for all, because they refused our attempt at peace.
Reason 3: We're ready! We've had opportunities to almost govern ourselves, and we were good at it! We don't need Britain to take care of us anymore. We practically have a government set up already, with the Second Continental Congress. We are ready for Independance, so there's no reason to stay with the British anymore.
I hope you will see the way I do, and become a Patriot as well.
